Name: Suzaku Kururugi
Alias: Honorary Britannian Soldier Kururugi
He’ll eventually get these, in order as follows:
Warrant Officer Kururugi
(Will add more when they are achieved)
Age: 17
Occupation: Soldier in the Britannian military
Race: Eleven
Appearance: Suzaku isn’t a very imposing figure, standing at only around 5’10”, and coming in at only 150 lbs. A long mop of brown hair tops his slender face, and deep emerald eyes are set into his typically hopeful face. His hair is a typical comb-it-and-then-let-it-go sort of looks, with locks of hair jutting out randomly.
He has three typical outfits, his school uniform, consisting of dark colors and light gold trim around the edges, embroidered with the Ashford Academy emblem, his military uniform, consisting of a tactical assault helmet, light armor, and a standard issue dark green jumpsuit, and then finally, his Lancelot pilot uniform, a white and gold jumpsuit that zips up the front, and auto-fits to it’s wearer.
We’ll also occasionally see him in a large blue trench coat, sunglasses, jeans, and a t-shirt, but he typically wears one of the first three.
Knightmare Appearance: Suzaku pilots the 7th Generation Knightmare, the Lancelot. An experimental Knightmare, not equipped with an ejection seat, the Lancelot is mostly white and gold, perhaps showing some sort of royal allegiance or something similar. It also has two MVS Blades, which are a deep red color.
A very streamlined Knightmare, the Lancelot has a lot of curves, and is much more resembling of a human body than the older counterparts, Glasgow and Sutherland. Situated on each forearm of the Lancelot are two shields that can deploy at a moment’s notice, and they are situated there for easy and quick defenses.
Knightmare Abilities:
Quick and nimble, and armed to the teeth, the Lancelot is the cutting edge of Knightmare technology, equipped with 4 Slash Harkens, 2 Master Vibration Swords (MVS), 1 Missile Launcher, 2 Blaze Luminous, one on each arm, 4 Harken Boosters, 2 Factsphere Sensors, Landspinner Propulsion System, and then eventually, a float system.
History: Suzaku was born to the last Japanese Prime Minister, Genbu Kururugi. He was hidden away from the world until he was around 10 years old, whether it was Genbu hiding a weakness, or he actually cared for his son, we can’t be sure, but in the end, at least a part of him had to be protecting Suzaku.
While his existence was hidden from the world, he existed within the estate, and practiced his martial arts and fighting, a student of Kyoshirou Todou, who would later be known as the leader of the Four Holy Swords. Suzaku trained well under Todou, and fought just as well. Eventually, though, Suzaku’s simple life would be brought to an abrupt halt. In an odd peace offering, Britannia offered two of its royal line, Lelouch and Nunally vi Britannia, to live in Japan, though unbeknownst to the Japanese, it was merely convenient placement for two that were to be banished as it was.
At first, Suzaku and Lelouch did not get along at all, Suzaku’s core Japanese values conflicting with the analytic and every scrutinous Lelouch. Eventually, though, the two proved to be an unstoppable pair, a mixture of Lelouch’s mind and Suzaku’s body. Suzaku also formed a strong friendship with Nunally, but not quite the same as Lelouch’s. This bond was more of a guardian, than a friend, but naturally, they were still friends.
Suddenly, disaster struck. Britannia annexed Japan, claiming the land as the new colony, Area 11. For quite awhile, Suzaku, Lelouch, and Nunally traveled through the battle-stricken land, on the way to the Kururugi main house, to meet up with Genbu, and seek refuge. However, the plan went astray, during the fray, Lelouch and Nunally were separated from Suzaku, so he continued to the Kururugi Estate alone, leaving Lelouch and Nunally to eventually find refuge with the Ashford family.
Upon reaching the estate, he greeted his father, who was hellbent on all out war with Britannia, backed by the Chinese Federation, among other allies. Suzaku, having just walked through the already battle-scarred land, was looking for any way to avoid such a calamity, and in a matter of moments, he had taken a knife, and stabbed his father in the chest, killing him, a desperate attempt to avoid war.
The higher-ups covered up Genbu’s murder as a suicide, and surrendered to Britannia, avoiding the war after all. After the occupation of Japan was complete, Suzaku applied to become an honorary britannian in the military, looking to fix this flawed system from the inside, as opposed to from the outside. That brings us to the now, where he is a lowly soldier in the military, at seventeen, in the Shinjuku Ghetto.
Personality: Suzaku has a very firm set of beliefs. He is extremely strict when it comes to the law, rules, customs, and anything similar. His core Japanese belief in the law and obedience, along with his Britannian sense of patriotism has resulted in the perfect soldier, obeying his superiors, and striving for advancement at every turn.
Ironically enough, Suzaku is a very large promoter of peace, and he believes that through his efforts to climb the Britannian ranks and change the system from the inside, he can create the peace that his father, and so many others, died for.
He is the type of person that would not say, "The end justifies the means." He believes that in order to achieve an end, you must go about it the right way. This thought has been brought about by his murder of his father, which was a case of the end justifying the means, and he feels the guilt over it to this day.
There is little fear in his life, on the contrary, he puts himself in the face of danger and death on many occasions, as a sort of either conscious or sub-conscious repentance of his cold-blooded murder.
Strengths: He is a true soldier with excellent physical fitness, top-notch Knightmare piloting skills, and the eye of a marksman. He can run and fight (and Spinzaku), with blinding speeds, he can pilot the Lancelot, which hadn't found a successful devicer to date, and he can use his firearm with high accurracy, enough to split Zero's mask without seriously harming Lelouch, as seen in Episode 25.
Weaknesses: While he isn't neccissarily dumb, he can be outwitted by the more tactical minds, and he can sometimes let his emotions get in the way of his objective, be they friends, or mere innocents.
Abilities: Apart from the strengths listed... not much.
Weapon Proficiency: The Lancelot, and his standard firearm, which I've listed in his Strengths.
Allegiance: Britannia
Extra: I dont feel like it.
Role-Playing Sample:
"Get ready back there, we're about to be deployed!"
Get it together, get ready. Helmet, check. Armor, check. Battle rifle, check. Soon those doors'll open... Get it together, get ready.
It was dark. Too dark for comfort, too dark to see much. The darkness seemed like a blanket of de-individualization. The young boy looked around him, identical masks and helmets, identical suits and weapons. Each looked like the next, and them the one after that. They were a truck full of dark clones, each ready to die for their country, each ready to die without a name, if need be. This's what you've been waiting for...
Suzaku took a deep breath, and readied himself, through small slits in the side of the armored truck, he could see the shiny and clean Britannian city turn into a run-down, dirty, old ghetto, apparently the Shinjuku Ghetto. He turned to the soldier sitting next to him, Private Asher. "Hey, this is kinda nerve-racking, isn't it, this waiting?"
For a moment, Private Asher looked as though he was going to respond, until his eyes fell to the name on Suzaku's uniform. "Kururugi? Wow, to think they're letting Numbers into the military..." Asher then turned and scooted as far from the emerald green eyed boy as he could. Letting out a sigh, Suzaku turned back to the small slit in the side of the vehicle. I guess the Honorary Britannian title isn't worth as much as I'd thought... I've been treated like all the other Japanese, despite my oath of loyalty, not to mention putting my life on the line. I will... I must change this flawed system of discrimination and violence.
His hand fell to his right pocket, and he felt the slight weight in it. He patted the little trinket within the pocket, perhaps for good luck, perhaps to say sorry to his father, he couldn't really tell, but he knew it was a good idea to bring it along on his first official field mission. His Britannian superiors had always kept him and the few other Honorary Britannian soldiers away from actual action as much as possible, looking upon them as disgraceful to the mother country.
Suzaku was sick of it, sick of the discrimination, sick of the fighting, sick of all the war. He'd vowed, the day he plunged that knife into his own father's chest in order to prevent war, that he'd change the world, his own way, as peaceful a way as possible.
"Go, go, go!"
Private Kururugi tightened his helmet quickly, as light flooded the armored truck, the side door flung open in a hurry. His mission was still unclear, all he knew was that there were some terrorists in the area that were causing trouble, and they had to quiet them. They would be briefed in more detail later, and once he'd recieved his orders, he ran out into the Ghetto, in search of the people he must kill to save millions more.
