Lelouch has looks strangely different from any other member of the royal family. With dark, jet black hair and bright eyes in an almost blue-violet color, his appearance is truly remarkable, as he stands out from the typical Britannian. Considered, at least by many of the girls around Ashton Academy, as rather good-looking, his looks seem to match his etiquette and charisma. He is not built for any physical activity, considering he does not engage in regular exercise of any sort, and therefore has a small, lean, slender build. His looks obviously come from his mother, as he shares both his hair and eye color with her, while he does not appear to hold much of a resemblance to his father, Charles zi Britannia
Standing at around 5’11”, Lelouch’s height is not necessarily unimpressive. However, what is unimpressive is his overall frame, and weight when compared to height. Lelouch does not look like someone who can…handle himself in a conflict, and therefore would not be taken serious as an aggressive or physical threat. While he more than makes up for this with his mental capacity, at first glance, one might think that Lelouch would be completely insignificant to the events found in the plot, although the exact opposite happens to be true.

History: Born Lelouch vi Britannia, the son of Charles zi Britannia and his fifth wife, Marianne vi Britannia. The young Lelouch grew to know a life of luxury and glamour, where his every whim was tended to, and his power over those around him was unmatched by anything else in his life. Most certainly, as a child, he would have feelings of self-entitlement, and enjoy his simple, easy to understand life. He ordered and his subjects obeyed, and in this atmosphere, he prospered. He quickly became something of a prodigy in all things logical and mental, chess being a favorite game of his. In fact, it has been said that the only person he could not best in chess on a regular basis was his older brother, Schniezel, who is rather adept in his own way. Things seemed to be going fine for the young Lelouch, living with his mother and sister Nunnally close to his heart…until suddenly, disaster struck.
On this fateful day, in mid-day, amidst the impenetrable fortress that is the royal palace, Marianne vi Britannia was assassinated by forces unknown, and, due to being caught in the crossfire, Nunnally vi Britannia was paralyzed, forced to travel in a wheelchair from this point on. Due to the psychological trauma of the event, Lelouch’s young sister was also blinded, and therefore unable to care for herself in any way. Considering the vast amount of protection which the palace normally possesses, Lelouch logically came to the deduction that there was some sort of foul play involved in his mother’s assassination, and confronted his father about his lack of action on the situation.
Met with even less of a welcome than Lelouch had expected, his father quickly laid to rest any possibility that his mother’s death may be avenged, demonstrating to Lelouch his apparent lack of concern about the situation. Enraged by his father’s lack of action, and still grieving over the death of his mother, Lelouch claimed that he was laying down his right to the throne, in protest. In response, Charles essentially exiled both Lelouch and Nunnally to Japan, where they would stay with and be cared for in the Kururugi household.
Used as a political hostage in the Sakuradite situation, Lelouch first met Suzaku Kururugi during this time. Although the two originally did not get along, as a Japanese boy and a former Britannian prince, they slowly became friends over time, growing close in spite of the little they had in common. However, once more, Lelouch’s life was thrown into turmoil when Britannia developed the Knightmare frames, and decided to invade Japan and seize the Sakuradite mines for their own. With his use as a diplomatic tool discarded, Lelouch fled, fearing for both Nunnally’s and his own life. Leaving behind one of his only true childhood friends, he turned to the Ashford family, long time allies of the late Marianne vi Britannia, for aid.
Disguising his true identity, and that of his younger sister, both of the siblings donned the last name Lamperouge, and attended the Ashford Academy, under the guise of mere students. Though incredibly logical and with the mental capacity of a genius, he did not take his work at this school seriously, and therefore could be found skipping out on many classes for more interesting endeavors. Still holding the grudge against his father from many years ago, not only does he wish to eventually overthrow the Britannian government, but he also desires to find out the truth behind his mother’s assassination. The main ideal that drives him is creating a better world for Nunnally, and therefore, he will do whatever it takes to rid them of the one thing preventing them from living happy lives…Britannia.
Personality: Upon first meeting him, most would think Lelouch to be the typical amiable, clever Academy student. He projects a confident, yet still friendly image. Even in a full length conversation with him, anyone that did not know him previously would think he was nothing more than a very smart student, one that is going places in life. Outside of mixed company, however, Lelouch drops the façade, and maintains a distant, ever-thinking aspect. While his social skills are up to par with most, and he is polite without flaw, the largest of his aspects lies within his desire to achieve his goals, and his willingness to go to great lengths for them.
As was previously noted, the main incentive for all of Lelouch’s work is creating a better world for his younger sister, Nunnally. Though he has not acted upon this desire as of the beginning of the plot, Lelouch greatly desires to overthrow the current Britannian Monarchy, and has even laid out a plan that encompasses many years to achieve this end. Along with this, he wishes to gain information about the cause of his mother’s death, and deduces that the best way to gain this information would be to begin with the first of these goals, and question those he meets along the way that may have been close to Marianne.
Though he flaunts his intelligence at times through games of chess and other such strategic hobbies, Lelouch never lets on his true nature to those around him. This nature is one of strategic warfare, in that he is well aware of many aspects of battle, and the formations and maneuvers that can lead to eventual victory. If allowed any sort of advantage, Lelouch will take it and make the most of it, playing to these advantages and attempting to shy away from his disadvantages. His personality revolves around what would serve him the best, so whether he is Lamperouge the uninspired student, or the exiled, cultured eleventh prince of Britannia depends upon those around him.
Strengths: Strategic plotting, logical deduction, intellectual prowess in general
Weaknesses: Physical activity, underestimating certain opponents, less than stellar ability to sympathize with others
Abilities:
Extraordinary Intellectual Capacity: Lelouch regularly shows his mental prowess, whether this be via a simple chess game, or a complicated battle strategy. He always seems to be two steps ahead of his opponent, and he considers and reconsiders every decision he makes several times, making sure his next move will serve to push him closer to his goal than the others. This cautious behavior does not mean Lelouch is afraid to act, on the contrary, he trusts his actions beyond nearly anything else. However, he will not move until he deems it absolutely necessary, making sure that no simple folly will lead to his eventual downfall.
(Eventually) – Geass: This power, bestowed upon Lelouch by CC, is known as the power of absolute obedience. It allows Lelouch to command any being nearby to serve him in one way, and have his orders be followed with absolute precision, to the word. There are rules to this power, however.
These commands must be issued verbally, direct eye contact with the target must be made, and the maximum effective range of this power is around 270 meters. Reflective surfaces may be used to make eye contact and issue orders. A command may only be issued once to each person, however, the amount of commands issued at first application is unlimited so long as eye contact remains unbroken. If the Geass is negated in any way, yet another command may be issued to the target. Commands that go beyond the target’s physical or mental capacity will have no effect, however, the target will attempt to complete the command to the best of their ability. In layman’s terms, a command that is impossible for the target will not be carried out, but will be attempted. However, commands that effect the target’s consciousness or mind, such as telling the being to forget something, will succeed, in spite of the target not normally being able to do so.
If no time limit is placed upon a command that requires constant or continued action by the target, the target will continue to perform the action indefinitely. The effects of the Geass MAY wear out over time, however, this is not to say that the Geass no longer holds sway over the target after a certain time period. The target’s memories from the time that commands are issued to the time that they are carried out remain sealed, and cannot be recalled. Finally, a target may resist a command if it is completely ridiculous, or would be outlandish or repugnant to them. However, the Geass cannot simply be fought off this way, and the target’s resistance is only a physical reaction, with no result in the grand scheme of the command.
Weapons Proficiency: Basic knowledge of typical firearms, able to function basic Knightmare frames in theory. Not incredibly skilled with any form of conventional weaponry.
Allegiance: Black Knights

Changing the world isn’t as simple as some believe it to be. Generally, most assume that when executes some sort of gigantic act of epic proportions, one nearly considered a miracle, the common man will line up behind whomever committed this act, like sheep following the shepherd.
‘Most’ would also be considered imbeciles…at least in the eyes of Lelouch vi Britannia. Things had not been easy since he and Nunnally had come to the Ashfords, requesting assistance and protection from the Britannian monarchy who were, in Lelouch’s eyes, the very scourge of all reason and expansion. The very thought of those pompous and ignorant beings, sitting in complete safety wherever their fancy willed them, made him sick to his stomach. So sick, in fact, that he was forced to switch sitting positions, turning the hard, wood-backed chair a tad to compensate for his now offset body position. Pitiful nobles, men that think only of themselves, never think of bettering the state of others, less fortunate than they.
The most disturbing of his thoughts was the one that lay in the deepest recesses of his mind. The thought that, until his childhood, he was one of those people. Had his mother not been harmed, had he not reacted in righteous anger, had his father been more lenient, he would still be Lelouch vi Britannia, the eleventh prince to the throne of Britannia. Looking across the room to his younger sister, who sat, contentedly toying with and folding pieces of paper, he nearly chuckled. One did not need to be royalty to enjoy all that life had to offer, one merely needs to accept what one has. Nunnally, who could not even see the finished product of her hard work, which no doubt produced many a paper cut, was perfectly fine continuing with her arts and crafts. Although the paper did not look like much, perhaps she imagined she had made a masterpiece, something that Lelouch would be proud of. Something that their mother would be proud of, were she here. And he was not about to crush this innocent belief.
“Excellent form.” He commented, smiling to himself at his sister’s serene face. “I could never produce something so tactfully.” His sister did not say a word, far too absorbed in her work, but did, however, raise her head to the direction of his voice, and smile. This was more for him than for her, after all, she could not see his face. The last she remembers of him, he was a small child still clinging to his mother. No, she raised her head to him because she knew how he cared for her, and knew that seeing her happy could produce nothing but good feelings within him. For a small child with very little world experience, Nunnally had intuition like no other.
Raising from his seat and excusing himself, Lelouch sighed as he resigned himself to his studies. Picking up a pack near the exit, and getting ready to open said door, he quietly counted his misgivings with the educational system. A waste of time, but by all means, the illusion of education must be maintained, even when it came to the brightest of students. The system simply cannot fail…what a load of…
Oh, the phone. Who could be calling this earlier in the morning? Sighing slightly as he read the name Rivalz, he smiled slightly. This might brighten the morning a bit…
Listening to one of his better friends around the Academy rant on about some noble that he’d duped into agreeing to a game of chess for a rather large sum of money, Lelouch laughed as he hung up. It looked as though he’d solved two of his problems. Boredom, along with the need to attend classes by this wretched establishment. Well, he supposed one day his days would be filled with more exciting activities than mentally sparring with nobles, once he determined the correct time to start his campaign against the Monarchy. But for now, he would bide his time. Opening the door, he reflected on his current state of affairs. Stepping through the threshold and out into the blazing sun, he nodded slightly to himself as he came to a final conclusion. He would not be satisfied until his desire for knowledge and vengeance was filled…but he could most certainly enjoy what he did have.
Nunnally had taught him that much…
