General Rules
1. This roleplaying forum was created for the sole purpose of providing enjoyment for its members. So, we’d like to ask all members to treat each other with respect and dignity. Conduct yourself in an overall civilized manner.
2. If you are going to be taking a leave of absence, or leaving the forum for good, please post it in the forum provided. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to post a thread, send a message to the Administrator, or a Moderator via either PM or another form of Instant Messaging, and they will relay the message.
3. As of now, this board has no censor on profanities. That being said, that does not mean you can say whatever you want. Use common sense when it comes to posts. We don’t want you dropping F-bombs every two seconds, or acting completely immature. If we develop a problem with a certain word, or cursing in general, filters WILL be placed up to remedy the situation.
Membership and Characters
4. As a member of this forum, you are expected to stay active and post. We will hold activity checks over time. If a staff member is aware of you being away, or inactive, for a reason, there will be no problem. However, if you are found to be inactive, your account will be deleted, and your character will be archived.
5. As a member of this forum, you are being held to a rather advanced and strict standard. I expect to see the effort put into each and every application, and I will return this effort, myself. Any help that is needed when it comes to roleplaying, and improving in that area, can be easily obtained from the slew of great writers present on this site.
6. This is a Code Geass based RP. As such, only canons from the Code Geass storyline, or OC’s shall be accepted. Do NOT ask to play as someone from another anime or manga. It will never even be considered.
7. Geass will not be granted to OC’s, as of now. There are no exceptions to this rule. However, if, in the future, I deem it in the forum's best interests to grant a character with Geass, I will attempt to work it in in some way. However, this will be judged on an incredibly high standard, and an idea must be nearly perfect to be accepted in such a way. Remember, Geass is not some power granted upon birth, one must encounter a code wielder. It is not plausible that many characters may obtain it when only a limited amount of codes exist, and I am reflecting this by limiting Geass to an almost miraculous event.
8. Code-wielding characters shall not even be considered, if an application is submitted. Currently, the only canons in possession of a code are C2 and V2, and I am going to have it stay that way for ALL characters.
9. You may only apply for one canon. The number of OC’s allowed is judged on a case-to-case basis. Depending on the writer's work ethic, skill, and overall attitude, the number allowed may raise or lower based on the staff's trust in said writer.
10. If you wish to reserve a canon, PM the Administrator or a Moderator (preferably the former). Once the reservation is accepted, your application is expected to be up within a reasonable amount of time, generally a week, though you may contact a member of the staff and request further time.
11. In this RP, character deaths are handled in a rather conservative way. Approval of the owner of said character must be given, and the Administrator must approve the death. However, if a character’s death is deemed to be beneficiary for the plot, the Administrator may contact the owner, and run the idea by them. A death will not be FORCED on you, but may be suggested at some point. The only exception to this rule is if the death of a canon character has been mandated by the plot, and a change to this has not been approved by staff. As such, all members should be wary of taking on canon characters with an in-universe death, as this death will almost certainly be reflected in the site's plot.
12. Only one character per account. If you wish to apply for another character, start a new account and apply on that. This helps keep the posts more orderly. All display names must reflect the names of the character being roleplayed on said account.
13. We expect all members to write their own applications. This may seem like a logical conclusion, but just to clear up any possible confusion, even if the site that information is taken directly from is credited, I will still ask for a rewording of this information, and an addition included by the applicant. These profiles are here to judge your skill before allowing you to RP a certain character, so simply allowing copying and pasting defeats the purpose.
14. Face claims from other anime are not allowed in any way, shape, or form. If you have an original picture of your character, and wish to include it, that is fine. However, you cannot take an existing character, or picture of someone other than your character specifically, and use it. This limits creativity with appearance, because you are merely attempting to describe a picture, rather than the figure in your own imagination. This includes characters from other anime (no matter how obscure), and pictures that have not been specifically created for your character.
15. We are well aware of the debut of all of Sunrise's spin-off series, including the manga version of Lelouch of the Rebellion, Knightmare of Nunnally, Suzaku of the Counterattack, Renya of Darkness, Lost Colors, and Akito the Exiled. Any and all information derived from these extra sources is not considered canon. This may change in the future, however, for now only the main Code Geass anime will be considered a truly canon source, along with such sources as the picture and sound dramas.
Role-Playing
16. We ask members to include at least 100 words per post, though we would definitely prefer to see our members going above and beyond expectations. This is not a large amount, and is rather lenient by my standards. If you are not putting effort into your posts, and they are consistently below par, a warning will be given, eventually leading to a suspension or ban if the offense continues.
17. The language of this RP is English. As such, we expect all members to be fluent in the English language. This does not mean other languages CANNOT be included in a post, but the post itself should mainly be in English. If English happens to be your second language, by all means feel free to sign up. We're absolutely willing to work with you.
18. Character pairings are allowed. However, Canon pairings must be approved by the Administrator before becoming a subject in an RP.
19. God-modding is NOT allowed in any way, shape, or form. Basically, you may not make your character or your character's abilities absolutely unbeatable. If you God Mod continuously, you WILL be banned from this site, without fail.
20. No power-playing of any kind. In essence, you may not control another person's character, and force them into a certain action. Continuous power-playing carries the same penalty as god-modding.
